What should you do if you miss the sajdah tilawah of the Imam during Salah?

QUESTION:
Mufti Sahib. What is the ruling if a person was performing wudhu and heard a Sajdah Ayah. He then joined the Salah with the Imam but had missed the Sajdah. Does he need to still do it?
ANSWER:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In principle, if you hear the verse that necessitates a sajdah and join the Imām within the same rak’ah, the sajdah of the Imām will be sufficient for you. However, if you hear the verse that necessitates a sajdah and you join the Salāh in the second rak’ah, the sajdah of the Imām will not fulfil the requirement. It will be obligatory (wājib) for you to perform the sajdah after completing the Salāh.

يَعْنِي دَخَلَ مَعَهُ فِي تِلْكَ الرَّكْعَةِ، أَمَّا لَوْ دَخَلَ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ كَانَ عَلَيْهِ أَنْ يَسْجُدَهَا بَعْدَ الْفَرَاغِ

(فإن قرأها الإمام وسمعها رجل ليس معه في الصلاة فدخل معه بعدما سجدها الإمام، لم يكن عليه أن يسجدها، لأنه صار مدركًا لها بإدراك تلك الركعة)
ش: أي صار الرجل المذكور مدركًا للسجدة، بإدراك الركعة التي قرأها الإمام فيها، لأنه لما صار مدركًا للقراءة بإدراكه في تلك الركعة صار مدركًا لما تعلق بالقراءة

بصورت مسئول شخص مذکور پر سجدہ تلاوت واجب ہے، نماز کے بعد اس کو ادا کر لیوے۔ ہاں اگر آیت سجده خارج نماز سن کر اسی رکعت میں شامل ہو جائے تو امام کا سجدہ کافی ہو جائیگا اب دوبارہ سجدہ کرنے کی ضرورت نہیں
