QUESTION:
Many times, people post things through the letterbox that have verses from the Holy Qur’an on them. What should we do with them?

ANSWER:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

In principle, it is of utmost importance to show respect towards articles or letters that contain verses from the Holy Qur’ān or the blessed statements of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). If it becomes difficult to preserve these writings, it is strongly advised to wrap them in a clean cloth and bury them in a safe place.
