Is your sister’s grandson classed as your Mahram?

QUESTION:

Assalamu alaikum w.w,

I just wanted to ask is your sisters grandson your mahram?

Jzk khair for your time and efforts.

ANSWER:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

In principle, the children of one’s sibling, however low the progeny goes, are all classed as Mahram. [1]

And Allah Ta’ālā Knows Best
