Hearing the Holy Qur’an in one’s dream

QUESTION:
Assalamu Alakium. I had a dream that I was hearing the Quranic verses being read to me and I felt as if it was surat al fatiha but I couldn’t recognise the ayat. I felt at peace and I saw green jungles and green birds that was flying and whistling. And I saw a drop of ink fall into a pool of water that displayed math and science of what Allah has created. Could I please get an interpretation and what it means to hear the quranic verses instead of reading them. Thank you!! i had this dream more than 6 months ago and i haven’t fully been able to understand it.

ANSWER:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

The dream in reference is very positive. Hereunder, we mention some of the points regarding it:

  1. The reference to surat ‘l-Fātihah, whether one recites it or hears it ~ this can be an indication to one’s dua’ (prayers) being accepted or having a noble death (in the state of Imān), or if one is ill, it may be a glad tiding of shifa’ (cure);
  2. The pool of water etc., ~ this is a sign of goodness and blessings;
  3. The sighting of birds, jungles etc., ~ this is a sign of Allah’s favours, goodness and blessings.

May the interpretation provided manifest itself for you in reality, as well as for the [anonymous] interpreter of this dream. Āmeen.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
