Hadhrat A’ishah RA being from the people of Paradise

QUESTION:

Assalamualaikum,
Hope you are well by the infinite mercy of Allah.
My question is, some brothers claim that those whom the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not declare to be in Paradise cannot be called certain in Paradise.
In this case, can we call Umm al-Muminin Hazrat Ayesha (ra) a sure paradise? Since it is a matter of the unseen. If there was any hadith about her being in Paradise, I would have benefited a lot. Zajakallah ….

ANSWER:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

There are numerous narrations of the Prophet ﷺ that mention the virtues and admission of A’ishah رضى الله عنها into Paradise.

Below are some narrations that mention the assurety of Umm al-Mumineen A’ishah’s رضى الله عنها entry into Paradise:

“A’ishah رضى الله عنها said, “O Prophet ﷺ of Allah, which of your wives will be in Paradise”. He replied, “Verily, you are amongst them.” (Sahih Ibn Hibban)

A’ishah mentions that the Prophet ﷺ said, “Do you not wish to be my wife in this world and the next?” She said “Of course”. He replied, “Then you are my wife in this world and the next” (Sahih Bukhari)

Below are some narrations which mention various virtues of Umm al-Mumineen A’ishah

It is narrated by A’ishah that the Prophet ﷺ said one day, “O A’ishah, this is Jibraeel giving you salaam” I replied, “And on him peace, the mercy of Allah and his blessings, you see that which I do not see” (Sahih Bukhari)

It is narrated by Abu Musa al-Ashari that the Prophet ﷺ said, “The virtue of A’ishah upon other women is like the virtue if Thareed (A mix of bread and gravy) upon other foods” (Sahih Bukhari)

Thareed is a dish that is made by mixing bread into gravy and was one the Prophetﷺ’s favourite dishes.

It is narrated by Amr bin al-Aas that he asked the Prophet ﷺ,  “Which person is the most beloved to you?” He replied “A’ishah” (Sahih Bukhari)

It is narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said to Fatimah “Do you not love that which I love”. She said “Of course” He then said, “Then love this,” referring to A’ishah. (Sahih Bukhari)

From these narrations we can recognise the virtues of A’ishah رضى الله عنها and can be assured of her admission into Paradise.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
