Bracelets and Rings

Shortened Question:

Can women wear fake bangles and fake rings?

Question:

Can women wear tose bangles and rings which are fake, they look like gold and silver but arent

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

In principle, women are only permitted to wear rings made of real silver or gold[1] and of no other type of metal[2]. Thus, it is not permissible for women to wear a fake ring not made of real silver or gold[3]. However, it will be permissible to wear a ring which is not made of silver but it is simply plated with silver[4].

Conversely, a woman may wear any other jewellery, including bangles, made from any material.[5]
